Outreach

I am an avid believer in the power of information and strive to make good science communication at the centre of my academic journey. If you would like to discuss potential talks for your school or business on scientific careers or dementia research please feel free to contact me.

Dementia Researcher

I've collaborated several times with Dementia Researcher, working on blog posts, and podcasts. I participated in the Dementia Chatathon last year to talk about frontotemporal dementia research and recently interviewed my mentor Martina Boccheta for an episode of the 'Ask a Mentor' podcast.

I recently published a guest blog on my research in the field of apathy which you can read here and you can view my full Dementia Researcher profile here.

BrainBus and Beyond

The BrainBus is an initiative started by the MRC Cognition & Brain Sciences Unit aimed at engaging local children in science.

I have also taken part in a number of local science outreach events organised by Age UK, Alzheimer's Research UK, and Pint of Science. Beyond Cambridge, I have worked with schools in the USA through the 'Skype a Scientist' scheme, and globally through collaborations with Psych2Go.

You can see my online dementia talk with Psych2Go here.

Higher Aspiration Schemes

I am a supervisor and lecturer for the Gonville & Caius Higher Aspiration Scheme at the University of Cambridge which aims to encourage college students to apply to competitive university courses.

I am also an organiser for Summer CAMP (Cambridge Access to Mental Health and Psychology), a programme aimed at giving confidence and advice to graduate students from groups typically underrepresented at postgraduate level. Applications for supervisors and prospective applicants are currently open.
